About Us

Our History

In 1980 Herman DeBrosse decided to buy a business and become his own boss. The American Dream. After much research, he decided the Big Red Q Quickprint Franchise was right for him. Peggy, one Herman’s daughters heard of his plan and wanted to be part of this new venture.

After a two week training course that included instruction on running a printing press and various bindery equipment, followed by several weeks of in-store guidance, Herman took over complete ownership. In September another employee was needed and Laurie was hired. She remains with us today. In 1983 Herman’s youngest daughter Jennifer joined the Quickprint team. The dream had been realized.

In the early 1990’s the corporate company, which had originally been based out of Toledo, closed their doors. That is when we officially changed our name to Maumee QuickPrint, Inc.

We have had many different press operators over the years and all were hired through Penta County Vocational School. Our current press operator Chris, has been with us for 8 years.

Maumee QuickPrint celebrated 30 years in business at the same location this past June 2010.
